Malibu Real Estate Agents Barbara Horton & Jennifer Horton-Chrisman are well known realtors that have been selling homes in the Malibu area for over 30 years. Malibu, California is a place like no other. Residents are drawn to the rugged beauty of the Pacific ocean, lush landscape and the diversity of the community, not to mention privacy and exclusivity.
In 1978, the Horton family moved to Malibu from the east coast. They settled in Serra Retreat and then moved to Las Flores Canyon in 1988. Malibu provided the beaches, hikes, horseback riding and small town relaxed atmosphere the family loved.
Barbara Horton
Barbara started a career in New York with TIAA-CREF, a non-profit organization serving the pension needs of teachers in higher education. Her 17-year tenure at TIAA-CREF—where she became the youngest woman ever to be appointed an officer of this multi-billion dollar company—taught her that serving others was tremendously rewarding. Many years later, when Barbara began a second career in real estate, she brought with her the need to help others that was instilled in her during her years with TIAA-CREF.
Jennifer Horton-Chrisman
After Santa Monica High School, Jennifer graduated from UCLA, earning a degree in economics. After college, her career blossomed in the property management and construction industries. As a mother herself, Jennifer is now taking on the role her own mother did—she’s a successful real estate professional with an innate nurturing touch and an ability to sense the needs of others.

In 2000, Barbara & Jennifer decided it was time to meld their skills and talents and establish their partnership as a team of real estate professionals serving the Malibu community. While they specialize in mountain, valley and ocean view estates, they enjoy working with all types of properties.
